Work load: Staff and volunteers
Duration: 6 months to 2 years
Cost: Minimal hard dollars, but large amounts of staff and volunteer time
Benefit to Cost Ratio: Very high, but fewer total dollars raised

Part-time Counsel

Campaign Goal: Any size
Work load: Staff, volunteers, and professional assistance
Duration: 6 to 18 months
Cost: Monthly fees range from $5,000 to $15,000 per month, plus staff time
Benefit to Cost Ratio: High, usually less than 25% of the cost of full time counsel

Full-time Professional Fundraising

Campaign Goal: Not cost effective if less than $1 million
Work load: Full time professionals and staff time
Duration: 8 months to 2 years
Cost: Per month fee of $18,000 to $25,000 plus substantial expenses
Benefit to Cost Ratio: Most money raised, but relatively expensive
